The YSEALI Institute on Environmental Issues, part of the Study of the U.S. Institutes, welcomes student leaders from Southeast Asia to study environmental issues in the U.S., as well as U.S. society and culture.  The University of Montana serves as the honored host for this U.S. Department of State program.

The goal of this program is to provide students with a full range of activities, lectures, workshops, and projects concerning environmental issues. Students will be connected with various experts in environmental policy and will engage directly with U.S. perspectives and culture, connecting what they learn to issues in their home countries.

The entries in this blog are written by program participants, documenting their experiences and the knowledge they gained while studying in the U.S.
